Tara Jokar Deris, owner of K.O. Club Aurora will be representing Boxing Ontario at the Calgary Cup Tournament from May 12th-May 15th.

Husband and Wife duo, Ardeshir Arjomandkhah and Tara Jokar Deris recently opened K.O. Club Martial Arts Fitness in Aurora, Ontario. Tara has now joined the provincial boxing team and will represent Ontario at the Calgary Cup this May. Tara and Ardeshir have accomplished great success as elite athletes and coaches. Between them, they hold many championship titles at provincial, national and world level.
After moving to Canada in 2018 to pursue their dreams of business ownership and competing as elite athletes, they settled in Aurora and began to build connections in the community. In March of 2022, K.O. Club Martial Arts Fitness officially opened for business, offering both kids and adult programs in Boxing and Kickboxing. Their program is focused on technical martial arts skills and is suitable for all ages and experience levels.
Tara is very excited for her return to the boxing ring. She has been training hard with her coach and husband, Coach Ardeshir, and is excited to pursue her competition goals in Canada. Her return to sport will take place at The Calgary Cup (YYC Cup) where she will be representing Team Ontario. She has aspirations of representing Team Canada in the near future. She wants to show her daughter that anything is possible with hard work and determination.
